PDK · Chamblee, GA
Our PDK airport car service meets private and corporate flights at DeKalb-Peachtree Airport in Chamblee, with the chauffeur waiting at your FBO when the aircraft arrives. From the ramp it is a short drive to Buckhead, Brookhaven, Dunwoody and the Perimeter business district, and every ride is quoted as one flat, itemized price.
PDK is owned by DeKalb County and serves as the main general-aviation reliever airport for Atlanta. It is one of the busiest airports in Georgia by aircraft operations, used by corporate flight departments, charter operators, flight schools and private owners. For passengers headed to the northern half of the city, it puts the aircraft much closer to the destination than Hartsfield-Jackson.
A booked chauffeur keeps that advantage on the ground: no waiting for a rideshare to find the FBO, no rental counter and no parking. Sedans and SUVs carry most passengers, and Sprinters carry full aircraft, crews and teams. For celebration and VIP arrivals in a stretch limousine or limo Sprinter, see our PDK airport limo service.
Airport: DeKalb-Peachtree Airport (PDK)
Address: 2000 Airport Rd, Chamblee, GA 30341

DeKalb-Peachtree Airport is owned and operated by DeKalb County and sits in Chamblee, just inside I-285 on the northeast side of the city. It handles corporate jets, charters, turboprops, flight training and private aircraft, which makes it one of the busiest airports in Georgia by number of takeoffs and landings even though it has no airline service.
The airport is surrounded by Chamblee, Brookhaven, Doraville and Dunwoody, with Peachtree Industrial Boulevard running along its western side. That position puts it close to the Perimeter Center offices, Buckhead, Emory University and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention campus on Clifton Road, which is why many business visitors to those places fly into PDK rather than Hartsfield-Jackson.
Private and charter flights do not use a terminal curb or a baggage carousel, so a pickup at DeKalb-Peachtree is planned around the fixed-base operator (FBO) where your aircraft parks. These are the steps for every PDK arrival.
Our DeKalb-Peachtree Airport car service is private jet car service in Atlanta at its simplest: the PDK car service vehicle is at the FBO before the aircraft is, and executive airport transportation in Atlanta starts the moment you step inside.
Send the date, the estimated arrival time, the tail number or flight details, the FBO name at DeKalb-Peachtree, the passenger count and the bag count. If you do not know the FBO yet, your flight department or charter operator can confirm it; we can update the booking later.
Private flights often move by thirty minutes or more. With the tail number on the booking, the pickup time follows the actual arrival rather than the time you first sent, so the chauffeur is ready when the aircraft is on the ground and you do not pay for a car that waited for a delayed departure.
Before the flight lands you receive the chauffeur’s name, phone number and vehicle. The chauffeur checks in at the FBO and waits in the lobby or at the vehicle, according to the FBO’s procedure.
The chauffeur loads the luggage, golf bags or equipment and drives you directly to your hotel, office, home or venue. Extra stops can be added to the same reservation.
Executives visiting offices in Buckhead, Midtown and the Perimeter, with the car waiting between meetings and the return to PDK on the same reservation. See corporate transportation.
Leisure and business travelers on charter flights who want the ground leg to match the flight: on time, private and comfortable.
Teams, performers and production crews heading to venues in Midtown and Downtown, often with equipment that needs its own space.
Pilots who fly themselves in and want a car waiting rather than a rental, especially on short visits.
Families flying in for appointments at the major hospitals in the northern half of the city, with an SUV sized for luggage and mobility needs.
DeKalb-Peachtree sits off Peachtree Industrial Boulevard in Chamblee, inside I-285 and close to I-85 and GA-400. These are typical drive times outside rush hour.
| Destination | Usual route | Typical drive |
|---|---|---|
| Brookhaven and Dunwoody | Local roads | 5–15 minutes |
| Perimeter Center and Sandy Springs | I-285 west | 15–20 minutes |
| Buckhead hotels and offices | Peachtree Industrial Blvd or Peachtree Rd south | 15–25 minutes |
| Midtown | I-85 south | 20–30 minutes |
| Downtown and the stadiums | I-85 south to the Downtown Connector | 25–35 minutes |
| Alpharetta | I-285 to GA-400 north | 25–35 minutes |
| Hartsfield-Jackson (ATL) | I-85 south | 35–45 minutes |
Hartsfield-Jackson handles the airline traffic for the whole region, which means long walks, security lines and busy curbs. DeKalb-Peachtree Airport serves private, corporate and charter aircraft, so passengers step off the aircraft, walk through the FBO and are in the car within minutes. For destinations in Buckhead, Midtown and the Perimeter, PDK usually saves time on the ground as well as in the terminal, because the drive is shorter and avoids the south side of the Downtown Connector.
| DeKalb-Peachtree (PDK) | Hartsfield-Jackson (ATL) | |
|---|---|---|
| Who flies here | Private, corporate and charter aircraft | Airline passengers |
| Where the chauffeur meets you | At the FBO | Baggage claim or the pickup area for pre-arranged rides |
| Time from aircraft to car | Usually minutes | Often 30 minutes or more, with bags |
| Best vehicle choice | Sedan or SUV; Sprinter for full aircraft | Depends on group and luggage |
Most private-aviation passengers at PDK ride in a sedan or an SUV. Full aircraft, crews and teams usually need a Sprinter so everyone and the luggage travel together. For a stretch limousine, a stretch SUV or a limo-style Sprinter, see our PDK airport limo service.
| Passengers | Luggage | Usual vehicle |
|---|---|---|
| 1–3 | Carry-ons and a few bags | Luxury sedan |
| 3–6 | Full luggage, golf bags | Executive SUV |
| 7–14 | Group luggage or equipment | Mercedes Sprinter |
| 15–30 | Team or event group | Mini bus |
Many PDK visits are day trips: land in the morning, attend meetings or a site visit, and fly out in the evening. We book these as hourly chauffeur service with the PDK pickup and drop-off on the same reservation. The chauffeur stays with you all day, waits outside each stop and adjusts if the meetings run long.
For multi-day visits, one chauffeur and vehicle can be reserved for the whole stay, including dinners and airport runs, with the daily schedule confirmed the evening before.
Some travelers arrive on an airline flight at ATL and continue on a private aircraft from PDK, or the reverse. The transfer between the two airports runs on I-85 through the city, so we build traffic into the timing and track the airline flight. See Hartsfield-Jackson airport limo service for the ATL side of the trip.
Private departures run on a very different clock from airline flights. There is no two-hour check-in: charter operators and flight departments commonly ask passengers to arrive at the FBO 15 to 30 minutes before departure, and some flights leave as soon as everyone is on board. Always follow your operator’s instruction; we build the pickup time from it.
We set the pickup from your address using the arrival time your operator gives, the drive to DeKalb-Peachtree at that hour and a margin for traffic on I-285, I-85 and Peachtree Industrial Boulevard. The chauffeur drives straight to the FBO entrance, unloads the bags and, where the FBO allows it, hands them to the line staff for loading.
Rideshare apps work at PDK, but general-aviation airports are quieter places than Hartsfield-Jackson. There may be few drivers nearby, an app may route the driver to the wrong entrance, and after a late or early arrival the wait can be long. A booked car removes those variables: the chauffeur knows the FBO, is already there when you land and the price is fixed in advance.
| Booked car service | Rideshare | |
|---|---|---|
| Waiting when you land | Yes, at the FBO | Requested after landing |
| Knows the FBO entrance | Yes | Depends on the driver |
| Vehicle size | Matched to passengers and bags | Whatever is available |
| Price | Fixed on the quote | Can change with demand |
| Late-night or early arrivals | Planned in advance | Fewer drivers nearby |
