Atlanta airport shuttle services for groups
A private shuttle is the simplest way to move a group through Hartsfield-Jackson. The chauffeur tracks the flights, meets the group at baggage claim with a sign if you choose meet-and-greet, and loads the luggage. From there it is one ride to the destination.
Our Hartsfield airport shuttle service is an airport shuttle service in Atlanta, GA that works like a private ATL shuttle service: one group, one vehicle, one schedule.
- Conference and convention delegates
- Wedding guests arriving for the weekend
- Sports teams and school groups
- Church groups and family reunions
- Film and production crews
Shuttle from Atlanta airport when flights arrive at different times
Groups rarely land together. Send the list of flights and we plan the best option: one vehicle that waits for the last flight, two runs grouped by arrival time, or a sedan for the early or late traveler. Departures work the same way in reverse. See group transportation for larger plans.
Shuttle vehicles
A Mercedes Sprinter seats 10 to 14 with luggage space at the rear. A mini bus seats about 20 to 30 and suits conference and wedding groups. For a family or small team, an executive SUV is often enough. Every vehicle comes with a chauffeur.
Large groups who would otherwise look for an Atlanta airport bus service, or a shuttle bus to Atlanta airport, can book a mini bus or several vehicles on one plan.
How a private shuttle schedule is built
The flight list: every traveler’s airline, flight number and arrival or departure time.
Grouping: flights landing close together are grouped into one run; outliers get a separate run or a sedan.
Vehicles: the passenger and bag count for each run decides the vehicle.
Meeting point: meet-and-greet at baggage claim with a group sign, or one curbside meeting point.
Group contact: one person the chauffeur can call if someone is missing.
Written schedule: each run, its vehicle and its time on one quote.
Shuttle planning by group size
These are typical starting points for Atlanta airport shuttle services. Luggage changes the answer, so the final plan comes from your bag count.
| Group size | Typical plan |
|---|---|
| 4–6 | Executive SUV |
| 7–14 | One Mercedes Sprinter |
| 15–28 | Two Sprinters, or one mini bus if the luggage fits |
| 30–60 | Mini buses, or a mini bus running two loops |
| 60 and more | Several vehicles on a timed schedule |
Private shuttle, hotel courtesy shuttle or MARTA
Hotels on the ATL SkyTrain, such as those at the Gateway Center in College Park, may not need a shuttle at all. For hotels Downtown, in Midtown, in Buckhead or in the suburbs, a private shuttle is usually the simplest choice for a group.
| Private shuttle | Hotel courtesy shuttle | MARTA train | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Goes to | Any address | That hotel only, usually near the airport | Rail stations only |
| Leaves | When your group is ready | On the hotel’s schedule | Every few minutes |
| Luggage help | Yes | Sometimes | No |
| Good for | Groups going anywhere in the metro | Airport hotel stays | Light travelers near a station |
Departure shuttles: getting a group to its flights
Departures are planned in reverse. The run is timed from the earliest flight in the group, with enough buffer for check-in and security, and travelers on much later flights can take a second run. If the group is split between the Domestic Terminal and the International Terminal, the chauffeur drops at both; they are on opposite sides of the airport, so we plan the extra time.
Meeting your group at Hartsfield-Jackson
With meet-and-greet, the chauffeur waits at baggage claim with a sign showing the group or event name, so travelers who have never met can find each other. The group contact gets a message when everyone is on board. With curbside pickup, the chauffeur sends one meeting point to the group contact once the bags are collected.
Group shuttles between Atlanta airport and other cities
Not every group is staying in Atlanta. Wedding guests heading to a lake or mountain venue, golfers bound for Augusta, fans travelling to Athens for a game and conference groups going to Chattanooga can all ride straight from Hartsfield-Jackson in a private shuttle. Long-distance shuttles are quoted as one flat price for the vehicle.
What the group contact does on the day
- Keeps the flight list up to date and sends changes
- Has the chauffeur’s phone number and shares the meeting point
- Counts the group before the vehicle leaves
- Lets the chauffeur know about late or missing travelers
Information we need for a group shuttle
