Atlanta airport arrivals pick up: how it works
Every arrival pickup is scheduled against the flight number on the booking. If the plane lands early or late, the pickup moves with it, and the wait time included after landing is written on your quote. Before you land you receive the chauffeur’s name, phone number and vehicle.
Meet-and-greet
The chauffeur waits inside at baggage claim with a name sign, helps with the luggage and walks you to the vehicle. Recommended for first-time visitors, guests you are hosting and anyone with several bags.
Curbside pickup
You collect your bags, message the chauffeur and walk out to the airport’s pickup area for pre-arranged rides, where the car meets you.
International arrivals
Flights from abroad arrive at the International Terminal. Customs and immigration can add a long, unpredictable wait, so we plan extra time and keep tracking the flight.
Atlanta airport domestic arrivals pick up directions
At the Domestic Terminal, baggage claim is on the North and South sides, grouped by airline. When you book, tell us your airline; the chauffeur confirms the exact meeting point by message once your bags are in hand. If you chose meet-and-greet, the chauffeur is already waiting at your carousel.
Signs inside the terminal point to ground transportation and the pickup areas for different kinds of rides. Rideshare, taxis and pre-arranged cars do not all use the same lane, so follow the chauffeur’s message rather than the first sign you see.
Car service from Atlanta airport to your door
From ATL we drive to every part of the metro and beyond: Buckhead, Sandy Springs, Marietta, Alpharetta, Lawrenceville, Peachtree City and long-distance runs to Augusta. A stretch limo from the airport is a popular welcome for wedding couples and milestone trips; a sedan or SUV covers most business arrivals.
Transportation from Atlanta airport is quoted as a flat price to your address, whichever vehicle you choose. For a limousine service from Atlanta airport in a stretch limousine, see ATL airport limo service.
Group arrivals and stops on the way
A Sprinter or mini bus works as a private shuttle for a team, a family or a group of wedding guests. Several arrival flights can be combined into one schedule. See Atlanta airport shuttle service for group transfers.
Need a stop on the way, for groceries, a pickup at a second address or a quick meal? Add it to the booking and it is part of the quote.
From the gate to the car, step by step
Before you fly: your flight number is on the booking, and you receive the chauffeur’s name, phone number and vehicle.
When you land: the pickup is already adjusted to the actual landing time. Turn your phone on and you will see the chauffeur’s message.
At baggage claim: with meet-and-greet, the chauffeur is waiting with a name sign. With curbside pickup, collect your bags and message the chauffeur.
At the car: the chauffeur loads the luggage and confirms the destination and any stops.
At your door: bags are unloaded at the address, and the receipt is sent by email.
How long after landing the pickup is planned
We schedule from the actual landing time, not the gate time, and then allow for what happens between the aircraft door and the curb. The wait time included on your quote covers the normal case; tell us if you expect the unusual one.
| Your arrival | What takes the time | How the pickup is planned |
|---|---|---|
| Domestic, carry-on only | Taxi to the gate and the walk or Plane Train ride to the terminal | The shortest wait |
| Domestic, checked bags | Baggage delivery to the carousel | Extra time for bags |
| International arrival | Immigration, customs and sometimes a bag recheck | The longest wait, with flight tracking throughout |
| Large group or wheelchair assistance | Several people and bags, or airport assistance staff | Extra time agreed when booking |

Late-night, delayed and diverted arrivals
Delays are the main reason people book a car service from the airport instead of arranging a ride with family. Because the pickup follows the flight number, a delay of two hours does not need a phone call; the chauffeur arrives for the new time. Arrivals after midnight are handled the same way as any other.
If the flight is cancelled or diverted, message us with the new flight. The booking moves to the new arrival when a vehicle is available.
Booking a pickup for a guest you are hosting
Clients, speakers, visiting family and new hires are often met by a chauffeur rather than a colleague. Book under the guest’s name with their flight and phone number; the chauffeur waits inside with a name sign, and you can ask for a message when the guest is in the car. The quote and the receipt come to you.
- Name sign at baggage claim
- Help with luggage to the vehicle
- Updates to the person who booked
- Return ride booked on the same reservation
